Students were familiarised with 6 birds found in Malta, namely, the Sparrow (Għasfur tal-bejt), Sardinian Warbler (Bufula sewda), Black Redstart (Kudiross iswed), White Wagtail (Zakak Abjad), Robin (Pitirross) and the Starling (Sturnell). The activity consisited of a powerpoint presentation about the six birds in which students learnt about each bird and heard their song. Then students coloured pictures of these birds which were displayed in class and on the Green Board. A game followed in which students represented birds and raced to a box in which there were cards with the names of types of food birds eat. Students learned a lot about birds from this activity and enjoyed themselves very much.
