L-Iskola Primarja Lija-Balzan-Iklin fi ħdan il-Kulleġġ Santa Tereża ħadet sehem fil-Festa tal-Fjuri f’attivita’ konġunta flimkien ma’ Birdlife Malta. Waqt l-attivita’ voluntiera mill-Birdlife Malta għallmu lit-tfal kif jagħmlu taħwil ta’ pjanti tal-klin u pjanti oħra fi qsari magħmulin minn materjal riċiklat. Studenti mill-kumitat ta’ Eko Skola u Dinja Waħda Rangers bigħu bookmarks bi tpinġijiet ta’ fjuri u pjanti indiġeni Maltin magħmula minnhom stess. Il-qligħ minn dawn l-attivitajiet ser imur biex ikun jista’ jsir il-proġett “Ġnien Dinja Waħda” fl-iskola. Dan il-proġett qed isir bil-għajnuna ta’ Birdlife Malta. Permezz ta’ dan il-proġett il-ġnien tal-iskola ser jinbidel għal wieħed bi pjanti u siġar indiġeni Maltin kif ukoll ħabitati differenti għall-insetti, għasafar, rettili u ħlejjaq oħra. L-għan ta’ dan kollu hu li rressqu lit-tfal lejn in-natura u n-natura lejn it-tfal. B’hekk minbarra li t-tfal jidraw japprezzaw aktar l-ambjent naturali ta’ pajjiżhom, ikollhom ukoll post fejn jistgħu jitgħallmu barra mill-erba’ ħitan tal-klassi.
